Rep. Lundy gave sponsor testimony on his new bill, Ohio H.B. No. 486, restricting payday lending in Ohio. A copy of this testimony is attached.

Bill Faith offered proponent testimony. Bill Faith is with the Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio and has testified in the past in favor of bills restricting payday lending.

Governor Strickland issued a statement supporting the bill. A copy of the Governor’s statement is attached.

Another hearing is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 14, 2010, on Ohio H.B. No. 486 before the House Consumer Affairs and Economic Protection Committee at 9:30 a.m. in room 113.
